Cricket's three formats and the competitions you can bet on
Cricket has three formats — T20, ODI and Test — and betting works a little differently in each.
T20 is the fastest format. Matches end in just 20 overs, so odds shift with every ball. BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) and IPL are played in this format and are the most popular among Bangladeshi fans. Bangladesh Tigers matches at the T20 World Cup naturally draw the most betting interest.
ODI is a fifty-over match. Batters build innings and bowlers complete multiple spells, so strategic markets work better in this format.
Test is cricket's longest format. In a five-day match, pitch and weather play a major role. There are fewer markets in Test cricket, but odds fluctuate more.
During the BPL season, when cricket fever grips Dhaka and the rest of the country, jeeta ai offers multiple markets for every match in the tournament.
Bet on football and other sports alongside cricket
Football and other sports betting — how it differs from cricket
At jeeta ai you can bet on football as well as cricket. Football matches are usually ninety minutes long and a draw is a possible result, so markets have three potential outcomes (Team A wins, draw, Team B wins). Limited-overs cricket formats generally have no draw — only two possible results — so odds are structured differently.
Since goals are relatively rare in football, a single goal can shift the odds dramatically. In cricket, a wicket or a six affects live odds too, but not as instantly as a goal in football.

Seven popular cricket markets and how they work
Each market works differently — a brief explanation of each is given below.
Match Winner
A bet on which of the two teams will win. Two outcomes in T20 and ODI; three outcomes including a draw in Test. Example: if you bet on Team B to beat Team A and Team B wins, you get a return — if they don't, you lose the stake.
Simple MarketToss Winner
A bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. It has no connection to the match result — the outcome of this bet is decided as soon as the toss is done.
Quick ResultTop Batsman
A bet on which batter in a team will score the most runs in an innings. The result is known once the full innings is complete. You pick your preferred batter from several options.
Innings-BasedTotal Runs Over/Under
A bet on whether the total runs will be above or below a set number (e.g. 165). Pitch conditions, team batting and bowling strength, and weather all play a big part in this market.
Handicap MarketMulti Bet
Multiple match bets are combined on a single slip — if all selections are correct, you receive a return at multiplied odds. If even one selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost. Higher risk, but a higher potential return.
Higher RiskNext Wicket
A bet on which over the next wicket will fall in, or how it will fall (caught, bowled, run out). Odds in this market change quickly during a live match.
Live MarketA multi bet example
Say you place bets on three matches — the odds for the three selections are 1.60, 1.70 and 1.90. The combined odds would be 1.60 × 1.70 × 1.90 = 5.17 (approximately). A ৳100 stake returns ৳517 if all three selections are correct. But if even one of the three is wrong, you lose the full ৳100. A multi bet is purely for entertainment — there is no guarantee of winning.
Three odds formats expressing the same value in different ways
Decimal, fractional and American — three formats at a glance
Betting sites display odds in three ways. All three are simply different expressions of the same value.
| Format | Team A win odds | Team B win odds |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | 1.80 |
| Fractional | 2/1 | 4/5 |
| American | +200 | -125 |
Example 1 — Bet on Team A to win (৳500): Decimal 3.00, fractional 2/1, American +200 — all three are the same value. If Team A wins, you get back ৳1,500 (৳1,000 profit + ৳500 stake). If Team A loses, you lose ৳500.
Example 2 — Bet on favourite Team B (৳500): Decimal 1.80 means Team B is more likely to win, so the value is lower. American -125 means you need to stake ৳125 to win ৳100. On a ৳500 bet, if Team B wins you get back ৳900 (৳400 profit).
Live betting during the match — when wickets and overs change everything
The most engaging form of cricket betting is in-play or live betting, where odds shift every over — even after every ball — while the match is in progress. When a big wicket falls, the match-winner odds for both teams change significantly right away.
Say Team A has lost three wickets in 15 overs and the run rate has dropped — at that moment Team A's odds of winning will rise (meaning lower probability) and Team B's odds will shorten. In live betting, reacting to these changes quickly is key, but keep in mind this is entirely for entertainment — no outcome is guaranteed.
If batters score quickly during the powerplay overs, the odds in the total runs over/under market shift immediately. In live markets, decisions have to be made fast because the window for placing a bet closes quickly.
